Growing up in a country as diverse as India can indeed be a culturally stimulating experience. And if you’re born into a family with mixed cultures and have grown up speaking 5 languages the way I did, appreciating people, their stories and their emotions would probably become second nature to you. I guess creative visualization and expression came naturally to me in this environment. I’ve literally grown up learning and practicing various forms of creative expression such as art & craft and dance. Pursuing a career in art was thus a rather obvious choice for me, and with a view to hone my skills I decided to major in 2D Animation - Visual Development.
Like Disney movies have been an inspiration to many, so have they been to me. I always admired how each character was meticulously designed. The minimalism in design of the characters, background and props and yet so much of detailed thinking caught my attention. The simple dreams of each character materializing into an extraordinary ‘Happily ever after’ intrigued me the most about all the Disney movies. I aspire to someday be a part of the making of one such ‘Happily ever after’.
